I took a long long break here, not updating any post.
Not that i stopped doing analyst, just that I’m too lazy to post it up.
Studying and short listing of potential stocks still on going as usual, as only with more in depth knowledge and exposure, we can improve our eligibility to identify those potential stocks.
Recently I dug into more property related counters like Plenitude, KSL, plantation on Glenealy as well as QL. All are good counters, and i start to like QL very much, its contribution from plantation sector still not significant, more will be coming in, as well as its renewable energy contribution on palm oil, if I’ve more cash to spare, will definitely buy it in for long term investment.
Apart from that, those who bought Globetronics since end of Jan time frame for sure will be very happy (it you still holding it), it has been climbing from 90 cents toward RM1.50 (closing price on last Friday), which is equivalent to 67% of profit. Thanks to the blooming news on recovery of tech sector. No doubt the the increasing LED demands will even push Globetronics to a higher level this year.
In fact, i started to look into other potential tech stocks since end of Feb. Locally, the first few that come in to my mind are Unisem, MPI, Eng and Globetronics. Only Unisem have most exposure to China which i think will benefits from this strong recovery demands.
Back to early of March, CIMB shortlisted a few tech stocks listed in Singapore Exchange which are still pretty much under value compared to our local peers. Broadway, Armstrong and TPV are among 3 of them. I picked TPV for study as its operation in China and also among few big players in the world of monitors and LCD.
While all eyes on Globetronics which shot that much recently, i just noticed that the CIMB shortlisted Broadway also shot as much as 75 cents. From less than 30 cents towards S$1. Just imagine the return of investing in overseas market.
Even that I didn’t benefit from this round tech sector shooting uptrend, this even give me more kicks to explore on SGX. Exploring into equity market is really fun and exciting!
